FAQ

About Creation Furniture

Are you a manufacturer?

No, we are not a manufacturer. We work with several manufacturers and designers from the UK and Europe. For most of the products, we are the exclusive retailer in the UK market.

Are you a UK company?

Yes, we are a UK-registered company. Our details are on the "Contact Us" page and the Companies House website.

Outlet Store and Showroom

Do you have a showroom?

We do not currently operate a traditional showroom. However, customers are very welcome to visit our Outlet Store, where you can see and experience Creation Furniture products in person. During your visit, you can view samples of our materials and finishes, see how different colours look in real-life lighting, sit on selected chairs, examine the construction and finish of our furniture, and get a much better feel for the quality of our products before making a decision. You can also speak directly with our team, ask questions about particular products and order brand-new furniture from our main collection. Our Outlet Store also offers a selection of individual furniture pieces at special outlet prices. Some may have minor cosmetic or transport-related imperfections, while others may simply be without their original packaging. Any such condition will be clearly explained.
Outlet Store address:
Unit 3 Link Park Way
Wardle
Nantwich
CW5 6RX

Can I take an Outlet Store purchase home with me on the same day?

Yes. Many Outlet Store purchases can be taken away on the same day. Smaller items and decorative accessories can usually be collected immediately. Larger furniture can also be collected if you have a suitable vehicle for safe transport. Our team will protect and pack the item as securely as reasonably possible and can assist you with loading it into your vehicle.

Can you deliver products purchased from the Outlet Store?

Yes. If you prefer, we can arrange delivery for both small and large Outlet Store purchases. Standard delivery is free of charge. Smaller items may be sent using our parcel courier service, while larger furniture can be delivered using our standard Room of Choice service, subject to the normal delivery and access conditions. Additional services, including unpacking, assembly and cardboard removal, may also be available for an additional charge. Our team can explain the available options and current service charges when you visit the Outlet Store.

Can I return a product purchased from the Outlet Store?

Products purchased in person from our Outlet Store are not eligible for change-of-mind returns. We strongly encourage you to inspect the furniture carefully before completing your purchase. Our team will give you the opportunity to examine the item and will explain any known cosmetic marks, transport damage, missing packaging or other relevant condition details before you buy. Where a product is sold with a specific imperfection or characteristic that has been clearly disclosed before purchase, that particular issue will form part of the agreed condition of the item.

This does not affect your statutory consumer rights if the product has a fault that was not disclosed to you, is not as described, or otherwise does not meet the requirements of applicable consumer law.

What if I order a brand-new product while visiting the Outlet Store?

If you place an order for a brand-new product from our main collection while visiting the Outlet Store, rather than purchasing a specific Outlet Store item, your order will be treated under our standard Creation Furniture returns policy. The Outlet Store change-of-mind restrictions apply only to specific outlet items purchased in person after you have had the opportunity to inspect their condition.

Do Outlet Store products come with a warranty?

Yes. Outlet Store products are covered by the same 12-month Creation Furniture warranty for manufacturing and structural defects as our standard products. Any specific cosmetic imperfections, transport marks or other condition issues that have been clearly disclosed before purchase are part of the agreed condition of the product and are not covered as faults. If a separate manufacturing or structural fault develops, please contact our Customer Service team and we will assess the issue in the same way as with our standard products. Our warranty is provided in addition to, and does not affect, your statutory consumer rights.

Product Information, Materials and Samples

Is your furniture made in the UK?

No, our furniture is not made in the UK. We collaborate with trusted designers across the EU and beyond, all selected for their high standards of craftsmanship and commitment to quality.

Because many of our products feature exotic materials, such as mango wood, teak, or acacia, they are often crafted in the countries where these materials originate, including places like India and Indonesia. This ensures the best possible quality and authenticity while supporting local artisans.

Where is your furniture made?

Our furniture is made in a variety of countries, depending on the materials and craftsmanship involved. Many pieces come from the EU, while those made from exotic woods such as mango, teak, or acacia are typically crafted in countries where these materials originate, like India and Indonesia.

We do not design or commission production ourselves; instead, we carefully curate and import ready-made pieces from trusted manufacturers known for their quality and attention to detail. If you'd like to know the specific country of origin for a particular product, please contact our customer service team, who will be happy to provide you with more detailed information.

What materials are used in your furniture?

Our furniture is made from high-quality, durable materials carefully selected for both aesthetics and longevity. Key materials used include:

Solid mango wood, acacia, oak, teak etc., known for their strength, natural grain, and character.
Ceramic surfaces, used in selected dining tables for a luxurious, stone-like look that's highly resistant to stains and scratches.
Powder-coated or stainless steel, commonly used for legs and frames to provide stability and a modern finish.
Tempered glass and natural stone, featured in select collections for added texture and style.
Each product page includes detailed material specifications specific to that item.

Will my furniture look exactly like the photos?

Because many of our products are made from real wood, each piece is naturally unique. Grain, colour, knots, markings and texture can vary from one piece to another and between adjoining boards. Product photography shows the design and overall finish, but natural differences are part of the character of real wood and are not automatically considered defects. If you are unsure whether something is a natural characteristic or a fault, please contact our Customer Service team and we will assess it.

Are knots, cracks and variations in natural wood considered defects?

Real wood is a natural material and every piece is unique. Grain, colour, texture, knots, small natural cracks, inclusions, saw marks, uneven edges and other organic irregularities may form part of the character of the material and are not necessarily defects. Wood can also respond to changes in temperature, humidity and light. Not every crack or movement should automatically be treated as normal, however. Excessive cracking, instability or any issue affecting quality, safety or function will be assessed individually.

Do you offer wood or ceramic samples?

We offer wood samples for many of our products. If a sample is available for the item you're interested in, you'll see this option listed on the product page.

Wood samples are sent with a pre-paid return label and packaging. Once you no longer need the sample, simply send it back to us, and you'll receive a full refund.

At this time, we do not offer ceramic samples.

Are your products suitable for commercial use?

Our products are primarily designed for residential use. However, many of our customers, including interior designers, hoteliers, and business owners, have successfully used our furniture in commercial spaces.

If you're considering a product for commercial use, we recommend contacting our customer service team. We'll be happy to advise on suitability and durability.

Customisation and Modifications

Do you offer customisation options?

We do not offer customisation or modification of our products. Each product is supplied as described on its product page, with the sizes, colours and finishes set by the manufacturer.
However, some of our products are available in our range in more than one version, for example the same dining table or TV unit with a different leg design or finish. You can find these versions using the filters on our website or the options on the product page. If you cannot find the combination you are looking for, please contact our Customer Service team and we will let you know what is available.

If you are looking for something completely bespoke, such as a made-to-measure piece, please see "Are you able to do a bespoke size?" below.

Are you able to do a bespoke size?

We do not offer bespoke or made-to-measure furniture ourselves.
If you are looking for something completely bespoke, we are happy to recommend JJ Henigan (https://jjhenigan.com/), an independent carpenter who has helped a number of our customers. They can adapt an existing piece or create an entirely new, made-to-measure item.

Please note that JJ Henigan is an independent business and any work is arranged directly between you and them. It is not a Creation Furniture service, and costs, lead times and any warranty for their work are provided by JJ Henigan rather than Creation Furniture. If an existing Creation Furniture product is modified, this may affect our manufacturer warranty.

Can I modify or alter my furniture?

We do not recommend making alterations or modifications to your furniture, as this may affect the manufacturer warranty. If you are considering modifying your furniture, please contact our Customer Service team before making any changes.

Ordering, Pre-orders and Order Changes

When should I receive my order confirmation email?

Your order confirmation email should be sent automatically shortly after your order has been placed and payment has been completed. If you have not received it within 10 minutes, please check your spam or junk folder first. If you still cannot find the confirmation email, please contact our Customer Service team so we can check your order details and make sure we have the correct email address.

What do you mean by pre-order?

If you see a product marked as "pre-order," it means the item is currently sold out, but we've already placed an order for the next batch. This status usually appears on our most popular items.
Occasionally, a product may sell out during the pre-order phase. By placing a pre-order, you secure your item from the incoming batch, with the estimated delivery timeframe shown on the product page. If this estimate changes, we will keep you informed.

Please note that pre-orders are paid in full at the time of purchase, just like any other item on our website.

What happens if my pre-order is delayed?

Most pre-orders arrive within the estimated timeframe shown on the product page. However, because estimated dates can depend on manufacturing, international transport and logistics, the expected arrival date may occasionally change. If there is a small change to the expected date, we will keep you informed and provide an updated estimate as soon as we have confirmed information. If a more significant delay occurs, our Customer Service team will contact you to explain the situation and discuss the available next steps. If the revised timeframe no longer works for you, please contact us and we can assist you with cancelling your order in accordance with our cancellation policy and your statutory rights.

What happens if one item in my order is delayed?

If your order contains several products and one is delayed, we can usually arrange for available items to be delivered first and the delayed item to follow later, at no additional delivery cost to you. If you would prefer to wait and receive everything together, this may also be possible. Please contact our Customer Service team to discuss the available options.

Can I cancel my order before it is dispatched?

Yes. If your order has not yet been dispatched, you can contact us to cancel it and receive a full refund. This applies whether the item is currently in stock, being transferred from another warehouse or has been ordered as a pre-order. Please contact our Customer Service team as soon as possible and include your order number so we can process the cancellation before dispatch.

Can I change a product in my order before dispatch?

Yes. If your order has not yet been dispatched, please contact our Customer Service team and we can usually change the product for you. If the replacement product costs more, you will need to pay the difference. If it costs less, we will refund the difference to your original payment method. Please bear in mind that changing a product may also change your delivery timeframe. The delivery estimate for the replacement product will apply from the date the change is confirmed. For example, if the new product shows an estimated delivery time of 2 to 4 weeks, this timeframe will begin from the date your order is amended.

Can I change my delivery address or contact details after placing an order?

Yes, please contact us as soon as possible if you need to change your delivery address, contact number or named recipient. We strongly recommend checking all order details carefully when you receive your order confirmation email. Once an order has been dispatched, we may no longer be able to change the delivery address. This is particularly important for parcel courier deliveries, where the parcel may continue to the address originally provided. For larger furniture deliveries, if the delivery team has already been routed or attends an incorrect address because the delivery details were not updated in time, an additional delivery charge may apply to arrange a further delivery to the correct address.

Payments, Pricing, Finance and Promotions

Payment methods and security

What payment methods do you accept?

We accept all major payment methods, including well-known debit and credit cards such as MasterCard, Visa, and American Express.
You can also pay using digital wallets and gateways like Google Pay, Apple Pay, Shop Pay, and PayPal. Additionally, we offer split payment options through Klarna and Clearpay and also up to 12th month split payment with DivideBuy.

Do you accept deposits or cash on delivery?

We do not accept deposits or cash-on-delivery payments. None of our payment providers offer these options.
If you'd like to spread your payment over time, we recommend using one of our financing solutions such as Klarna, Clearpay or ZOPA.

Is it safe to shop on your website?

Yes, shopping on our website is completely safe. We use secure encryption technologies to protect your personal and payment information. All transactions are handled through trusted, industry-compliant payment gateways, ensuring your data remains fully secure.
In addition to that, our customers consistently rate us highly on review platforms such as Trustpilot, a reflection of our commitment to quality, transparency, and customer satisfaction.

Finance

Do you offer financing options?

Yes, we offer financing options through Klarna, Clearpay and ZOPA.
With Klarna, you can choose to:

Pay in 3 instalments (available for orders up to £2000): split your total into three equal, interest-free payments taken every 30 days.
Pay later in 30 days: receive your order first and pay the full amount up to 30 days later.
With Clearpay, you can:

Pay in 4 interest-free instalments (available for orders up to £700): payments are taken automatically every 2 weeks.
Both options are available directly at checkout and subject to approval by the provider. As long as payments are made on time, no interest or hidden fees apply.

With ZOPA, you can:

ZOPA Interest-Free Credit

Interest-Free Finance Options

We offer ZOPA interest-free credit on orders over £1,000, allowing you to spread the cost with no interest to pay. Available finance terms are:

Orders over £1,000: 6 months interest-free credit
Orders over £1,500: 9 months interest-free credit
Orders over £2,500: 12 months interest-free credit
The finance term available is determined by the value of your order.

Who Can Apply?

To apply for ZOPA finance, you must:

Be aged between 18 and 75
Be a permanent UK resident
Have a valid debit or credit card
Have a valid UK mobile number
Have a valid email address

Will a Credit Check Be Carried Out?

Yes. ZOPA will perform a credit and affordability assessment as part of your application.

If you would like to check your eligibility before applying, ZOPA also offers a quick eligibility check that will not affect your credit score or leave a mark on your credit file.

How Are Monthly Payments Made?

Your monthly payments are collected automatically using a Continuous Payment Authority (CPA).

This uses your card details (card number, expiry date, and security code) to collect payments on the agreed instalment dates, so there is no need to manually make payments each month.

Can My Order Be Delivered to a Different Address?

For security and fraud prevention purposes, orders purchased using ZOPA finance can only be delivered to your registered home address.

What If I Need to Cancel or Return My Order?

If you wish to cancel or return your order:

Contact us directly to arrange the cancellation or return.
If the item has already been delivered, it must be returned in accordance with our returns policy.
Once the return has been processed, we will notify ZOPA.
ZOPA will then cancel your credit agreement and issue any applicable refund.

My Application Was Declined: What Happens Next?

If your application is declined, unfortunately neither we nor ZOPA can provide details of the reason for the decision.

Credit decisions are made independently by ZOPA based on their lending criteria, and application information cannot be shared with retailers.

If your application is unsuccessful, you may wish to consider an alternative payment method.

What happens to my finance or instalment plan if I receive a refund?

If you paid using Klarna, Clearpay, ZOPA or another finance provider offered through Creation Furniture, please contact Creation Furniture first regarding any cancellation or refund. We will process the refund from our side and notify the relevant payment or finance provider. They will then update your payment plan, balance or refund in accordance with their own processing times. You do not normally need to arrange the refund directly with the finance provider.

Prices and VAT

Are your prices inclusive of VAT?

Yes, all our listed prices include VAT. There are no hidden charges: the price you see is the price you pay.

Do you issue VAT invoices?

Yes.
For individual customers: VAT invoices are available on request after your order has been delivered. Please contact our Customer Service team and provide your order number.

For business customers: If you require a VAT invoice, please contact our Customer Service team after placing your order. We will normally use the company and billing details provided when the order was placed. If any of those details need to be changed, or if you would like additional business information included, please provide the correct information when contacting us.

What happens if a product is displayed at an obvious incorrect price?

We take care to keep our prices accurate, but an obvious pricing error can occasionally occur. If we identify an incorrect price before dispatch, we will contact you as soon as possible. We may cancel the order and provide a full refund, or give you the option to continue with the purchase at the correct price.

Price Match

Do you offer a Price Match?

Yes. We can consider a Price Match where the competing offer is genuinely comparable to ours. The product must be the same product, with the same specification and finish, rather than simply a similar design. We also compare the complete customer offer, including the product price, delivery charges, delivery service, associated services, availability and expected delivery time. For example, an offer with a significantly longer lead time or a materially different delivery service may not be considered directly comparable. Please contact our Customer Service team before purchase and provide the details of the competing offer so we can review it.

Discounts and promotions

Do you offer discounts on large or trade orders?

Yes, in most cases we can offer a discount on large or trade orders. To ensure we can provide you with the best possible price, please contact us at contact@creationfurniture.co.uk. Our team will gather the necessary details about your order and prepare a personalised quote tailored to your needs.

Do you offer NHS or Blue Light discounts?

Yes, we offer discounts for NHS staff and Blue Light Card holders. If you are eligible, please contact us at contact@creationfurniture.co.uk before placing your order, and our team will provide you with a unique discount code to use at checkout.

Can I combine a Blue Light discount with another promotional code?

Blue Light discounts are reviewed directly by Creation Furniture and each request is considered individually. A Blue Light discount cannot be combined with another promotional code unless we specifically confirm otherwise.

Can I use more than one promotion or discount code on the same order?

Unless the specific promotion states otherwise, only one promotional offer or discount code can be applied to an order at a time. Some promotions may have their own terms and conditions, including exclusions or special combinations, so please check the applicable offer details before placing your order.

Do you have any sales or promotions at the moment?

If we currently have any active sales or promotions, you'll find them featured on our homepage or on our dedicated sale page with discounted products.
To stay up to date with the latest offers, we recommend subscribing to our newsletter, where subscribers often receive early access to promotions and exclusive discount codes.

What happens if I return part of an order purchased as part of a promotion or multi-buy offer?

If you return part of an order that qualifies for a promotional or multi-buy discount, your refund may need to be recalculated in accordance with the terms of that promotion. Where the remaining items would no longer have qualified for the promotional discount if purchased on their own, the value of the discount may be deducted when calculating your refund. Our Customer Service team will confirm any adjustment before the refund is processed.

Shipping and Delivery

Delivery times and lead times

What is the delivery time?

Delivery times are specified individually for each product. You'll find the estimated delivery time on the product page, just below the price.
The timeframe depends on several factors, such as whether the item is available in our UK warehouse or needs to be transported from one of the EU warehouses before reaching you. Due to the complexity of customs and logistics procedures, we generally cannot expedite this process.
All delivery estimates are provided in good faith based on the information available to us at the time. However, delays may occur in some cases due to circumstances beyond our control.

Why do some items take 3 to 4 weeks to arrive?

Some of our items take up to 4 weeks to be delivered in the UK because they are sourced directly from supplier warehouses in the EU.
This process involves international freight, customs clearance, and onward delivery within the UK. Each step adds to the overall delivery time.
We aim to provide accurate lead times based on current logistics conditions, and while we understand this may feel long, it's necessary to ensure safe and efficient transport of larger and heavier furniture items.

Can you deliver faster if I pay extra?

Unfortunately, we are unable to offer expedited delivery for an additional fee. All orders are processed and dispatched as quickly as possible within the limitations of our logistics operations, while ensuring proper handling and quality standards are maintained.

Do I have to pay any customs duties?

No, you don't have to pay any customs duties.
Although many of our products come from suppliers outside the UK, Creation Furniture handles all customs clearance and import duties.
The item that arrives at your door is already fully cleared and duty-paid by us, there are no additional charges for you.

How far in advance will I know about the delivery?

The amount of advance notice you'll receive about your delivery depends on the estimated delivery time shown at checkout:
If the delivery time is 3-5 days: Your order will likely be dispatched the same day with courier service. On the delivery day, you'll receive a text message from the courier with tracking information and the option to reschedule if needed.
If the delivery time is 1-2 weeks: This means the item is in our UK warehouse. Within 24 hours of your order, it will be handed over to our logistics partner, Higher Jump Logistics. They will then contact you directly to arrange a convenient delivery date, ideal if you need to coordinate around work or holiday plans.
If the delivery time is more than 1-2 weeks (e.g. 3-4 weeks): This usually means the product is sourced from EU warehouses. As soon as we know the exact date the item is expected to arrive at our UK warehouse, we will email you with this information. If you expect that you won't be available to receive the delivery around that date (or a few days after), please reply to that email so we can arrange to postpone the delivery accordingly.
If the delivery estimate is a specific month (e.g. "Available in August"): This means you're placing a pre-order for an item currently being restocked by the manufacturer. Once we receive a confirmed date for when the product will reach our UK warehouse, we'll email you an update. If you anticipate being unavailable to accept the delivery around that time, please reply to that email so we can organise a postponed delivery for your order.

Scheduling, rebooking and postponing

Can I choose the delivery date?

The ability to select a delivery date depends on the products ordered and the shipping method used.
Parcel courier deliveries: You will receive an SMS notification with the option to reschedule your delivery. If you are unable to respond in time, a missed delivery card will be left, providing instructions for redelivery or collection from the courier's local depot.
Room-of-choice deliveries (Higher Jump Logistics): Our delivery partner will initially propose a delivery date. If the suggested date is unsuitable, you may request an alternative and provide several preferred dates for consideration. Not all dates will be possible due to logistical limitations; however, the delivery will not proceed unless you accept the date.
Pallet service deliveries: The shipping company will contact you directly to confirm the delivery date. After the pallet is dispatched, rescheduling options may be limited, so please inform us in advance if you are unavailable, and we will hold the dispatch until a more convenient time.

Until when can I cancel a previously agreed delivery or collection date with Higher Jump Logistics?

Higher Jump Logistics must be informed of any delivery or collection cancellation by 3:00 PM on the day before the scheduled service. This is the cut-off time to avoid any redelivery or rebooking charges.
To ensure your request is processed as quickly as possible and to minimise the risk of communication delays, we recommend contacting Higher Jump Logistics directly:
Email: customerservice@higherjump.co.uk
Telephone: 01604 312780
If you miss the 3:00 PM cut-off, additional charges may apply, as the delivery or collection route may have already been scheduled.
Please note if your order is scheduled for delivery on Monday, any changes or cancellations must be requested to us or Higher Jump Logistics by 3pm the Friday before. The office does not operate on the weekend and therefore your request will not be processed.

Can I postpone my delivery or have it delivered later than estimated?

Yes, we can hold your order and arrange delivery for a later date that suits you. Whether you are going on holiday or waiting to move into a new home, there is no need to worry about missing your delivery.
To take advantage of this option, please contact us after placing your order, ideally by replying to your order confirmation email, and inform us of your availability to take delivery.

Room of Choice, access and heavy items

What does Room of Choice delivery include?

Our Room of Choice delivery is used for items that are too large, heavy or fragile to be sent by standard parcel courier. These orders are delivered by a 2-man delivery team directly to a suitable room of your choice, subject to safe and suitable access. The delivery method available for each product is shown on the product page.
Room of Choice delivery is included up to Level 2: Level 0, ground floor; Level 1, first floor; Level 2, second floor without a lift. If you require delivery above the second floor, please contact our Customer Service team before delivery so we can discuss the available options.

Why is Room of Choice delivery not available in all areas?

Unfortunately, this service depends on the delivery zones covered by our logistics partner, Higher Jump Logistics. We can only offer room-of-choice delivery in areas where their two-person crews operate. In regions not covered by this service, deliveries are completed via a pallet delivery service, which means the item will be delivered to the nearest accessible point (usually curbside or driveway).

Will my furniture fit through my access route?

Before ordering, please check that your furniture can be safely delivered through all relevant access points, including doorways, hallways, staircases, landings, lifts and tight turns. For particularly large or long pieces, we strongly recommend contacting us before delivery if you have any concerns about access. Our Customer Service team can review photographs, measurements and other information with you and, where appropriate, discuss the proposed access with our delivery partner. As you are at the property, the final responsibility for ensuring suitable access rests with you, but we are very happy to help you assess it in advance. If the delivery team determines that an item cannot be safely taken to the requested room, you may be given the option, where practical and safe, to accept the furniture at another accessible location within the property. Alternatively, the item may need to be returned and a further delivery arranged. Where a failed delivery results from an access issue that could reasonably have been identified in advance, an additional delivery charge may apply. Any such charge would reflect the additional delivery cost incurred by Creation Furniture, and we will explain this to you before arranging the new delivery.

Can the delivery team remove doors, banisters or other fixtures to gain access?

No. Our delivery teams are not able to remove doors, banisters or other fixtures from your property. If you believe any such work is required to allow safe access, please arrange for this to be completed before delivery. Any removal or alteration of property fixtures is the customer's responsibility.

How should I prepare my home for a Room of Choice delivery?

Please make sure the delivery route is clear and safe before the team arrives. Remove fragile or valuable items from the route, including pictures, mirrors, ornaments and other objects that could be knocked or damaged. We also recommend taking reasonable steps to protect floors and other vulnerable surfaces where appropriate. Please check the full access route in advance and review any delivery requirements provided by Creation Furniture or Higher Jump Logistics. Good preparation helps the delivery run safely and smoothly.

Collection, international delivery and parcel issues

Can I collect my order directly from your warehouse?

No, unfortunately, collection from our distribution warehouse is not possible due to health and safety regulations and insurance restrictions. All orders are delivered through our approved delivery partners to ensure proper handling and product safety.

Can you collect my old furniture?

This is not a standard service we provide, but if you require this option, please contact us, and we can request a collection quote from our logistics partner, Higher Jump Logistics. Please note that this service only applies to collecting the same type of item being delivered, for example, if you purchased a table from us, we can only arrange the collection of an old table, not other types of furniture.

Do you deliver outside the UK?

At the moment, we do not offer delivery outside the UK. However, we can deliver your order to a UK-based shipping forwarder of your choice, which can then forward the goods to your final destination at your own cost and risk.
Please note that all items must be inspected before being shipped onward internationally, as any claims for damage or missing parts can only be accepted while the goods are still within the UK.

What is the procedure if a parcel is stolen after delivery?

We understand that, on rare occasions, a courier may leave a parcel in a safe place near your property, and it may go missing before you have the opportunity to collect it. If this happens, don't worry, we're here to help.
Before taking any further steps, please contact us to confirm that the delivery address on your order is correct. If the address is correct and the parcel still cannot be located, it may have been stolen.
The first step is to report the theft to the police and obtain a crime reference number. You can report the incident online via the UK Police website:
https://www.police.uk/pu/contact-us/theft-damaged-property-or-assault/
We require the crime reference number to process this investigation internally with our courier company.
Once you have received your crime reference number, please contact our Customer Service team and provide the details. We will then review the case and advise you on the next steps.

Unpacking, Assembly and Installation

Do you offer an assembly service, and is it included with delivery?

Assembly is not included as standard with delivery, but it can be added as an optional paid service for selected products. We recommend adding the service when placing your order at checkout. If you decide to add it later, please contact our Customer Service team as early as possible and no later than 72 hours before your scheduled delivery. We will do our best to accommodate the request, but late additions depend on availability and whether the delivery route can still be adjusted.

What does the Unpacking, Assembly and Cardboard Removal service include?

The service normally includes unpacking the furniture, carrying out the basic assembly required for the product, such as attaching table legs or fitting feet to a sideboard, and removing the packaging after the work is completed. Furniture leveling, door adjustment and hinge adjustment are not included and remain the customer's responsibility.

What does "partial assembly required" mean?

"Partial assembly required" means that only a small part of the furniture needs to be assembled after delivery. This usually involves straightforward tasks like attaching legs to a table or fitting feet to a sideboard. All required components and clear instructions are provided, and no specialist tools are typically needed.
Unlike many mass-produced items, our furniture does not come flat-packed: most pieces arrive fully built, with the exception of a few desk models that may require more compact packaging for transport.
If you'd prefer not to handle the assembly yourself, you can add our professional assembly service at checkout or request it after placing your order.
Please note that if you'd like to add the service after your purchase, you must inform us at least 72 hours before the scheduled delivery, as we cannot guarantee availability after this time.

Is wall installation included in the assembly service?

No. Our delivery team does not drill into walls or carry out wall fixings.

Who is responsible for wall fixing or anti-tip installation?

Where a product requires wall fixing or is supplied with an anti-tip restraint, correct installation is the customer's responsibility. The correct fixing method depends on the wall construction, so suitable fixings and installation should be chosen for the specific wall. If you are unsure how to complete the work safely, we recommend using a suitably competent professional.

Furniture Setup, Levelling and Doors

Why is leveling my furniture important?

Correct levelling is a normal and important part of installing furniture in its final position. It is not a repair and does not mean there is anything wrong with the product.
Furniture is manufactured, assembled and checked on level surfaces. Once placed in your home, even small variations in the floor can affect door alignment, drawer operation, catches, stability and the way the cabinet frame sits.
Before adjusting doors, hinges, drawers or catches, first position the furniture in its final location, check it from left to right and front to back with a physical spirit level, adjust the feet where fitted, then check it again.
Only after the furniture is correctly level should final door or hinge adjustments be made. Where anti tip fittings are supplied or recommended, secure the furniture to a suitable wall once it has been positioned and levelled.

Do I need to level my furniture after delivery?

Yes. Correct levelling is a normal and important part of installing furniture in its final position. It helps doors, drawers, catches and moving parts align and operate as intended. Level the furniture before making final hinge or door adjustments.

Can I use a phone app instead of a spirit level?

A phone leveling app can be used as a temporary guide, but a physical spirit level is recommended because phone sensors can vary in accuracy.

Why are the doors on my furniture not perfectly aligned after delivery?

The hinges on doors in solid wood furniture cannot be fully tightened before transport, as this could create unwanted tension within the wood structure and potentially cause cracks during temperature or humidity changes.
Because of this, the doors may require hinge alignment once the furniture is placed in your home. We recommend waiting around 48 hours before making any adjustments, allowing the wood to acclimatise to your room's temperature and humidity.
Before starting the alignment, please make sure the furniture is standing evenly on the floor. You can find a step-by-step guide on how to adjust the hinges by following this link: Door Alignment Instructions.

Damage, Missing Parts and Claims

Reporting an issue

How do I report a problem with my order?

Please use our online Claim Form to report any issue with your furniture, including delivery damage, a suspected product fault, missing parts, an incorrect item or a problem that develops after delivery. The form will guide you through the relevant questions depending on the type of issue you are reporting. Providing as much information as possible at the outset, including your order number, clear photographs, wider images of the complete product, short videos where useful and any visible product or batch information, will help our Customer Service team assess your claim more efficiently and reduce the need for additional follow-up questions.

How quickly will you respond to my claim?

We aim to review and respond to claims within 2 working days. Our Customer Service team does not operate on weekends or UK bank holidays. More complex cases may take longer where additional information, supplier input or delivery partner investigation is required. We do not publish a fixed final-resolution timeframe because the time required depends on the nature and complexity of the issue. We will keep you updated as your claim progresses.

Delivery damage, packaging and Proof of Delivery

What should I do if my furniture arrives damaged?

If you notice any damage following delivery, please let us know as soon as possible.
We strongly recommend reporting visible delivery damage within 48 hours of receiving your order. This allows us to investigate the issue promptly with our delivery partner and, in many cases, helps us reach a resolution more quickly.
The 48 hour period is an important operational request and does not replace your statutory consumer rights.
If damage is reported later, we will still review the claim. Depending on the circumstances, we may need additional information or evidence to establish when and how the damage occurred, which can make the investigation more complex.

What should I do if the packaging looks damaged?

If the outer packaging appears damaged, we generally recommend accepting the delivery where it is safe to do so, taking clear photographs of the packaging and asking the delivery team to note the condition on the Proof of Delivery.
Our furniture is carefully protected using both strong outer packaging and internal protective materials, so visible marks or damage to the outer packaging do not necessarily mean the furniture inside has been affected.
Once the item is unpacked, please inspect it and contact us as soon as possible if you notice any issue.

What should I check before the delivery team leaves?

If you have selected our unpacking or assembly service, we strongly recommend inspecting the furniture before the delivery team leaves.
If you notice any visible damage, missing components or anything that does not appear correct, please ask the delivery team to photograph the issue and add a clear note to the Proof of Delivery before it is completed.
This information can be extremely helpful when we investigate the matter with our delivery partner or supplier and may help us resolve the claim more quickly.

Can I still report damage if I signed the Proof of Delivery without noting it?

Yes. All damage claims are reviewed individually.
As part of our assessment, we may consider the Proof of Delivery, photographs taken by the delivery team, photographs supplied by you, and the timing and circumstances of the report.
Signing a Proof of Delivery without noting damage does not automatically prevent you from contacting us about an issue discovered afterwards. However, where an item was inspected or photographed at delivery and no damage was visible or recorded, we may need additional information to establish when and how the damage occurred. This can make the investigation more complex.
For this reason, we strongly recommend inspecting the furniture as soon as reasonably possible and recording any visible concerns with the delivery team before they leave.

How issues are resolved

How do you handle product faults or complaints?

Every product issue or potential complaint is assessed individually on a case-by-case basis. Before we can determine the most appropriate solution, we may need to gather relevant information and evidence to help us understand what has happened and what may have caused the issue. Depending on the circumstances, this may include photographs, videos, details of the problem, delivery information or other relevant information. Once we have reviewed the available information, we will assess the case and determine the most appropriate next step. Depending on the nature of the issue, this may include providing a replacement part, arranging a repair, replacing the product, offering a partial refund, arranging a return or offering another appropriate resolution. Our aim is to understand the cause of the problem properly and find a fair and practical solution based on the individual circumstances of each case.

How will you resolve a damage or product issue?

Each claim is assessed individually, and the most appropriate solution will depend on the type, location and severity of the issue.
Depending on the circumstances, possible solutions may include supplying a replacement part, arranging a repair, offering a partial refund, replacing the item or accepting a return.
Our Customer Service team has extensive experience handling a wide range of furniture claims and works closely with our suppliers and technical specialists to identify the most appropriate solution.
The more detailed information you can provide, especially clear close up photographs, wider photographs showing the full item, short videos and a clear description of the issue, the easier it is for us to assess the problem accurately and recommend the most suitable next step.

Do you always need to replace the whole piece if something is wrong?

Not necessarily. We understand that customers often choose a piece because they genuinely love its design, so where possible, we will look for a solution that allows you to keep and enjoy your furniture.
In some cases, a technical issue can be resolved by replacing a small component such as a hinge, runner, handle or other piece of hardware, without the need to replace the entire item.
Our Customer Service team will assess the issue individually and, where appropriate, work with our suppliers and technical partners to arrange the most suitable solution.

Property damage during delivery

What should I do if my property is damaged during delivery?

Please contact Creation Furniture as soon as possible. Where possible, ask for the incident to be noted on the Proof of Delivery before the team leaves and take clear photographs or videos of the damage and the surrounding area. Please keep any other information that may help us understand what happened. We will review the circumstances and advise you on the next steps. Property damage reports are assessed individually.

Returns, Cancellations and Refunds

Return period and eligibility

How long do I have to request a return?

You can request a return within 30 calendar days of receiving your order. This extended returns period is offered by Creation Furniture in addition to your statutory consumer rights.
Once your return has been approved, we will provide the return or collection instructions. Please send or prepare the item for collection as soon as reasonably possible and ensure it is protected for transport.

Can I return my product after assembling it?

Yes, you have the right to return any product within 30 calendar days of receiving it, as long as it is in the same condition as when it arrived: unused and undamaged.
If you have assembled the item, you must disassemble it carefully and ensure that no damage occurred during assembly. The product should then be securely packed, ideally in its original packaging, and returned to us.
All returns are inspected by our team. If no damage or signs of use are found, a full refund will be issued. However, if the product is returned in a condition that prevents it from being resold as new, we reserve the right to deduct an amount from your refund based on the reduced value of the item.

Are there any items that cannot be returned?

All of our standard products can be returned within our 30-day returns period, as we do not offer bespoke modifications that would make them non-returnable. To be eligible for a full refund, the product must be unused, undamaged and in its original condition.
The only exception to our change-of-mind returns policy is Outlet Store items purchased in person and available for inspection before purchase. These items are not eligible for change-of-mind returns. This does not affect your statutory rights if the product is faulty, not as described or otherwise does not conform to the contract.
If you order a brand-new product from our main collection while visiting the Outlet Store, our standard returns policy will apply.
If you have altered or modified a product in any way, for example by drilling holes in a TV unit or changing its structure, you can still request a return. However, we will deduct an appropriate amount from your refund to reflect the reduced value of the item.

Free returns, packaging and preparation

Are returns free?

Yes. We provide a free standard return service for eligible returns using the return method arranged by our team.
For smaller courier items, this may be a prepaid return service. For larger furniture, we can arrange a collection where our furniture collection service is available.
Optional convenience services, such as repacking an unpacked item or disassembling furniture before collection, may carry an additional charge. These services are separate from the standard return collection itself.

Do I need to keep the original packaging?

We strongly recommend keeping the original packaging until you are happy with your furniture, as it can make any return or claim process easier and helps protect the item in transit.
If you used our unpacking or cardboard removal service, or no longer have the original packaging, please contact us. We can advise on suitable preparation for collection. Optional repacking or disassembly services may also be available for an additional charge.

Starting a return and refunds

How do I initiate a return?

To initiate a return, simply fill out our online return form (https://www.creationfurniture.co.uk/pages/return-form) or contact us directly via email at contact@creationfurniture.co.uk.
Please include your order number and a brief explanation of the reason for your return. Once we review your request, we'll provide detailed return instructions, including how to safely package the item and where to send it, or, for larger items, how to arrange collection through our delivery partner.
We recommend keeping the original packaging until you're sure you want to keep your purchase, as it helps ensure a smooth and secure return process.

When will I get my refund after the product return?

Once we receive your returned product, we reserve up to 7 days to process it. This time allows us to thoroughly inspect the item.
After processing, the refund will be issued to your original payment method. Depending on your payment provider, it may take an additional 3-7 days for the funds to appear in your account.

How long will my refund take if I cancel before dispatch?

If you cancel your order before it has been dispatched, we will process your full refund as soon as possible and no later than 7 days after cancellation. The refund will be issued to your original payment method. Once processed by us, the time it takes to appear in your account may depend on your bank or payment provider.

Warranty, Faults and Product Protection

Manufacturer warranty

What does the 12-month manufacturer warranty cover?

Our 12-month manufacturer warranty covers manufacturing and structural defects that should not occur during normal use. Every claim is assessed individually to understand the nature and cause of the issue. The manufacturer warranty is provided in addition to, and does not affect, your statutory consumer rights.

What is not covered by the manufacturer warranty?

The manufacturer warranty does not cover issues resulting from accidental damage, misuse, incorrect assembly, unsuitable installation, modifications, improper care or normal wear and tear. Each case is assessed individually to determine the cause of the issue. Your statutory consumer rights are not affected.

What is considered normal wear and tear?

Normal wear and tear means the gradual changes that can naturally occur through everyday use and ageing of the product. Normal wear and tear is not considered a manufacturing or structural defect.

What does the manufacturer warranty cover on upholstered furniture?

Our manufacturer warranty covers genuine manufacturing or structural defects in upholstered furniture. Examples of issues that may require assessment include a structural frame failure or a seam that fails because of a manufacturing problem. Stains, rubbing, abrasion, pulls, scratches, accidental damage and other externally caused damage are not covered by the manufacturer warranty. Every reported issue is assessed individually.

Is the manufacturer warranty transferable if I sell the furniture?

No. Our manufacturer warranty applies to the original purchaser and is not transferable to a new owner after resale. Once furniture changes ownership, it may be moved, transported, stored or handled by third parties in conditions that Creation Furniture cannot verify or control. For that reason, we cannot accept responsibility under our manufacturer warranty for damage or issues arising after the product has changed ownership.

Faults appearing later

How do I make a warranty claim?

You can submit a claim using our online form at www.creationfurniture.co.uk/pages/claim-form or contact our customer service team via email at contact@creationfurniture.co.uk.
Please include clear photos of the issue, both close-ups and wider-angle shots. Please ensure the photos are clear and visible. The best if the photos can be taken in natural daylight, so our team can properly assess the situation and determine the best solution. Providing detailed images or short videos can help us resolve your claim more quickly and efficiently.
Please also provide photos of the original product packaging if still available, with all the manufacturers batch numbers printed on the box clearly visible.

What if I notice a change in the finish, colour or veneer?

Please contact our Customer Service team and provide clear photographs and any relevant information about the product and how it has been used and cared for. Changes in finish, colour or veneer can have different causes, so we assess each case individually before deciding whether the issue is a natural characteristic, normal ageing, care-related damage or a potential product fault.

What if a problem appears after the 12-month manufacturer warranty period?

Please still contact us. We will review the circumstances individually and advise what support may be available. The expiry of our 12-month manufacturer warranty does not remove any statutory consumer rights you may have.

Optional product protection

Is Loxa Product Protection worth considering?

If you would like additional peace of mind for your furniture, Loxa Product Protection is an optional way to add extra protection against certain accidental stains, accidental damage and structural defects. Furniture is part of everyday life, and accidents can happen. For an additional cost, Loxa can provide protection for certain events that may not be covered by a manufacturer warranty or your statutory rights. Loxa Product Protection is completely optional and is not required to benefit from Creation Furniture's warranty or your statutory consumer rights. Cover is subject to eligibility, policy terms, conditions and exclusions, so we recommend reviewing the policy information before deciding whether it is right for you.

Product-Specific Questions

Dining tables

Are the chairs shown in the photos included or available for purchase?

No, the chairs shown in our product photos are not included with the tables.
However, some of the chairs featured in our images are part of our current offer and can be purchased separately. We recommend visiting our Chairs collection to explore the available models and find the ones that best match your chosen table. Of course we are happy to provide guidance or answer any questions you may have.

Are dining tables and benches available with different legs?

Some of our dining tables are available in our range with different leg designs. This depends on the specific model.
The easiest way to check is to use the filters on our website or the options on the product page to see which versions are available. If you cannot find the combination you are looking for, please contact our Customer Service team and we will be happy to help.
Please note that for benches, we do not currently offer alternative leg options.

Are table legs available in different finishes?

Some of our table legs are available in different finishes, such as brushed steel, matt black, or shiny silver.
However, availability depends on the specific model.
To check whether a particular finish is available for the product you're interested in, please refer to the product description or contact our customer service team, we'll be happy to assist.

Why do stainless steel legs cost more than the same in black?

Stainless steel legs are more expensive than black-finished versions due to the time-consuming nature of their production. Unlike powder-coated black legs, which are quicker to finish, stainless steel requires extensive polishing to achieve a uniform, high-quality surface. This additional labour and precision result in higher production costs, which are reflected in the final price.

TV units

Is there space for sockets behind floating units?

There is space behind our floating units for sockets or cables, but the exact depth varies depending on the specific model. We recommend contacting our customer service team for more information.

Do your TV units have cable management, and where is it located?

Most of our TV units come with built-in cable management to help keep your setup neat and organised. You can view all models featuring this function here: TV Units with Cable Management (https://www.creationfurniture.co.uk/collections/tv-stands?gf_727786=cable+management).
The exact placement and number of cable openings vary depending on the model. For precise information, please contact our customer service team, who will be happy to provide detailed specifications for your chosen unit.

How many brackets come with a floating TV unit?

The number of brackets included with a floating TV unit depends on the specific model. Please contact our customer service team for precise information regarding your chosen unit, they'll be happy to confirm how many brackets are included and their positioning.

Can you advise me if the floating unit will be suitable for my wall?

We're unable to determine whether a floating unit will be suitable for your specific wall, as the installation method depends on the type and condition of the wall. We recommend consulting a qualified local handyman who can assess your wall and advise on the best mounting solution. From our side, we'll be happy to provide detailed product information such as dimensions, weight, and bracket type to assist with this assessment.

What is the total weight the unit can hold?

The total weight a unit can hold depends on several factors, including the specific model, materials used, and how it's installed. Each unit has its own maximum load capacity, which our customer service team will be happy to confirm for you. It's also important to ensure that the weight is evenly distributed across the unit to prevent deformation or structural stress, as every material has its own natural strength limits.

Can the leg design be changed?

Some of our TV units are available in our range with different leg designs, depending on the specific model. Please check the options on the product page or use the filters on our website. If you cannot find what you are looking for, please contact our Customer Service team to check availability.

Can I change the design of the unit legs for ones from a different collection?

We can only supply the leg designs that are offered for that specific unit in our range. Please check the product page for the available versions, or contact our Customer Service team, who can confirm which options are available for the unit you are interested in.

Can I change the stone colour on my unit?

No, the stone colour on our units cannot be changed. All items are sold as pictured, and we do not offer customisation of stone finishes.
Please note that stone is a natural material, so variations in colour, veining, and texture may occur between pieces. These natural differences are part of the material's unique character and are not considered defects.

Can I drill additional holes or make modifications to the unit?

We do not recommend drilling additional holes or making other modifications to your furniture. Alterations can affect the structural integrity of the piece and may affect the manufacturer warranty.
If you are considering a modification, please contact our Customer Service team before making any changes. We also recommend using a suitably qualified specialist so that any work is carried out safely.
If you modify a product and later wish to return it within our 30-day returns period, we will deduct an appropriate amount from your refund to reflect the loss in value caused by the modification.

Lamps

Can I change the shade on a lamp?

We do not offer changes to the shade colour, shape, or design. However, our lamps use standard fittings, so you're welcome to replace the shade yourself with one that better suits your interior style.

Can I buy a lamp shade on its own?

No, we do not sell lamp shades separately. All lamps are sold as complete units, including both the base and the shade.

Care and Maintenance

General care

Can I use a multipurpose cleaner on my furniture?

No. Do not use multipurpose cleaners, harsh household chemicals, abrasive cleaning products, scouring pads, bleach, solvents or steam cleaners on your furniture. These products can damage the surface, protective coating or finish and may cause permanent staining, discolouration, dulling or other damage that can be difficult and expensive to repair. For routine cleaning, use a soft cloth and follow the care guidance for the specific material and finish. If you are unsure, contact Customer Service before using a cleaning product.

What happens if my furniture is damaged by an unsuitable cleaning product?

Damage resulting from the use of unsuitable cleaning products, incorrect treatments or care that is inconsistent with the product care instructions is not normally considered a manufacturing defect.

Can solid wood move or develop small cracks over time?

Yes. Solid wood is a natural material and can respond to changes in temperature and humidity by expanding and contracting. Small surface openings, movement or minor cracks can occur naturally over time. To help minimise movement, keep the furniture in a stable indoor environment and avoid strong heat sources, excessive moisture, very dry conditions, sudden changes in temperature or humidity and prolonged strong drafts. If a crack or movement appears unusual, is widening significantly, or affects stability, quality, safety or function, please contact us and we will assess it individually.

Acacia wood

How do I care for acacia wood furniture?

Dust regularly with a soft, dry cloth. Wipe spills immediately and do not allow water or other liquids to remain on the surface. For routine cleaning, use a soft damp cloth. For more stubborn marks, use lukewarm water with a small amount of mild soap, avoid soaking the wood and dry the surface afterwards.

Should I use coasters and placemats on acacia furniture?

Yes. Use coasters, placemats and suitable heat protection for hot or cold items. This helps protect both the wood surface and its finish during everyday use.

Can I use multipurpose cleaners on acacia wood?

No. Avoid harsh chemicals, multipurpose cleaners, abrasive cleaning products and anything that may scratch or strip the finish. Use gentle cleaning methods and follow any product-specific care instructions.

Can I oil acacia furniture?

Some acacia furniture can be maintained with a suitable care oil, but the correct treatment depends on the finish. A natural-looking surface may still be lacquered or varnished. Do not assume that every acacia product requires oil. If you are unsure, contact us before applying any treatment.

Why does my acacia furniture look different from the website photos?

Acacia is naturally varied. Differences in tone, grain pattern, knots and naturally occurring markings can appear between individual panels and from one piece of furniture to another. These variations are an inherent characteristic of solid acacia wood and make each piece unique.

Does acacia wood change colour over time?

Yes. Acacia naturally develops a deeper and warmer colour over time, often with richer orange and reddish tones. Strong sunlight can accelerate this aging process, and covered areas can change colour at a different rate from exposed areas.

Can acacia wood expand, contract or develop small cracks?

Yes. Solid wood responds to changes in temperature and humidity. Slight expansion and contraction are normal, and small surface openings or cracks can appear or change over time. Stable indoor conditions and appropriate care help minimise movement. Contact us if you are concerned about a new, widening or significant crack.

Where should I position acacia furniture?

Keep it away from strong direct sunlight, radiators and other direct heat sources. Avoid excessive humidity, prolonged moisture, extremely dry conditions and sudden environmental changes. Moving mats and decorative items periodically can also help the surface age more evenly.

Oak wood

How do I care for oak furniture?

Dust regularly with a soft, dry cloth. Wipe spills immediately. Clean gently with a soft damp cloth and, for more stubborn marks, use lukewarm water with a small amount of mild soap. Avoid soaking the surface and wipe it dry afterwards.

Should I use coasters, placemats and heat protection on oak furniture?

Yes. Coasters, placemats and suitable heat protection help reduce water marks, heat damage and everyday wear.

Can I use household or multipurpose cleaners on oak furniture?

We do not recommend harsh household chemicals, multipurpose cleaners or abrasive cleaning products. These can affect the wood surface or finish. Use gentle cleaning methods and follow the care instructions for the specific product.

Can I oil oak furniture?

A suitable care oil may be appropriate for some oak finishes when required, but treatment should always match the actual finish. Follow the product instructions and test unfamiliar treatments on a small, inconspicuous area first. If you are unsure, contact us before applying for treatment.

Why does my oak furniture vary in grain or colour?

Solid oak naturally varies in grain, tone, knots, figuring and other markings. Some pieces may display more pronounced grain or naturally occurring features than others. This is part of the character of real oak and means your furniture can differ naturally from product photography or display models.

Does oak change colour over time?

Yes. Oak naturally matures and can develop a deeper, warmer tone, often with richer golden or honey-coloured hues. Strong sunlight can accelerate this natural ageing process. Areas covered by mats or decorative objects may initially age at a different rate.

Can oak move or crack?

Yes. Seasonal changes in temperature and humidity can cause slight expansion and contraction in solid oak. Small surface openings or cracks can occur naturally over time and do not automatically indicate a defect. Stable indoor conditions help minimise movement. Contact us if a change is significant or affects stability, safety, quality or function.

Where should I position oak furniture?

Keep oak furniture away from strong direct sunlight, radiators and other strong heat sources. Maintain a reasonably stable indoor environment and avoid excessive humidity, prolonged moisture and extremely dry conditions.

Mango wood

How do I care for mango wood furniture?

Dust regularly with a soft, dry cloth. Wipe spills immediately and do not allow liquids to remain on the surface. Clean gently with a soft damp cloth and, for more stubborn marks, use lukewarm water with a small amount of mild soap. Dry the surface afterwards.

Should I use coasters and placemats on mango wood?

Yes. Use coasters, placemats and suitable protection for hot or cold items to help protect the surface and finish.

Can I use multipurpose cleaners on mango furniture?

Avoid harsh chemicals, multipurpose cleaners and abrasive products. These can damage or alter the finish. Gentle cleaning is normally sufficient for everyday care.

Can I oil mango wood furniture?

A suitable care oil may be used when appropriate for the specific finish. Follow product-specific instructions and test unfamiliar treatments on a small, inconspicuous area first. If you are unsure which treatment is suitable, contact us before applying it.

Why does mango wood vary so much in colour and grain?

Solid mango wood is naturally distinctive. Tone, grain pattern, knots, darker streaks and naturally occurring markings can vary between panels and between individual pieces. Colour can range from lighter golden tones to deeper brown shades within the same item.

Does mango wood change colour with age?

Yes. Mango wood can deepen in colour and develop richer, warmer golden or brown tones over time. Strong sunlight can speed up the natural ageing process. Covered areas may initially change colour at a different rate from exposed areas.

Can mango wood move or develop small cracks?

Yes. Mango wood responds naturally to temperature and humidity. Slight expansion and contraction are normal, and small surface openings or cracks can appear or change over time. Stable indoor conditions and appropriate care help minimise movement.

Can solid mango wood be refreshed or refinished?

One advantage of solid wood is that, when appropriate, the surface can often be maintained, refreshed or refinished through suitable care. The correct method depends on the finish, so contact us for guidance if you are unsure.

Natural wood (general)

How do I care for natural wood furniture?

Dust regularly with a soft, dry cloth. Wipe spills immediately, use coasters and placemats, protect the surface from hot or cold items and clean gently with a soft damp cloth. Avoid soaking the surface and dry it afterwards.

Can I use a multipurpose cleaner on natural wood furniture?

No. Avoid harsh chemicals, multipurpose cleaners and abrasive cleaning products. They can damage the wood surface, protective coating or finish. If you are unsure which product is safe, contact us before using it.

Should natural wood furniture be oiled?

Some natural wood finishes may benefit from a suitable care oil, but not every finish should be oiled. The finish determines the correct care. Follow product-specific instructions and contact us if you are unsure.

Why does natural wood differ from product photography?

Real wood is naturally variable. Grain, tone, knots, texture and naturally occurring markings differ between pieces and panels. These features are part of the material rather than a sign that every item should look identical.

Can natural wood move or develop small cracks?

Yes. Wood responds to temperature and humidity and can expand or contract slightly. Small surface openings or cracks can occur naturally. Keep the furniture in stable indoor conditions and contact us if you are concerned about significant movement or a crack that affects stability or function.

How can I reduce uneven colour change in natural wood?

Keep furniture away from strong direct sunlight where practical and periodically move mats, decorative items and accessories so covered and exposed areas can age more evenly.

Ceramic

How do I clean ceramic furniture?

For everyday cleaning, use a soft damp cloth. A small amount of mild soap can be used if required. Wipe away any residue and dry the surface with a clean cloth.

Can I use a specialist ceramic cleaner?

For deeper cleaning, use a product suitable for ceramic surfaces and follow the cleaner manufacturer's instructions. Test an unfamiliar product on a small, inconspicuous area first.

What cleaning products should I avoid on ceramic furniture?

Avoid harsh or unsuitable cleaning chemicals, abrasive pads, metal scourers and sharp cleaning tools. Ceramic is hard wearing, but abrasive or aggressive cleaning can still damage the surface or surrounding finishes.

Is ceramic scratch, heat and stain resistant?

Ceramic offers excellent resistance to heat, scratches and everyday staining, which makes it well suited to frequently used furniture. It is not indestructible, however, so severe impact, excessive force and misuse should still be avoided.

Can ceramic furniture chip?

Yes. Ceramic is durable, but concentrated heavy impact can damage exposed edges and corners. Take particular care when moving hard or heavy objects near these areas.

Should I use coasters and placemats on ceramic furniture?

Yes. Coasters and placemats are still recommended to help protect the ceramic surface and the surrounding finishes during everyday use.

Why does the ceramic pattern differ from the product photos?

Depending on the design, ceramic can feature veining, tonal variation and fine surface detail. The position and appearance of these features can vary from one piece to another, so your furniture may differ slightly from product photography or display models.

Should I check fittings on ceramic furniture?

Yes. We recommend checking fittings, fixings and supports periodically, typically every 6 to 12 months, and gently tightening them if required.

Should I use a cutting board on ceramic furniture?

Yes. Ceramic is highly scratch and impact resistant, but it is not indestructible. Always use a cutting board or mat when cutting or preparing food on a ceramic surface.

Home accessories

How do I care for home accessories?

Dust regularly with a soft, dry cloth. Wipe spills promptly with a soft absorbent cloth and avoid allowing moisture to remain on surfaces, joints or decorative details. For general cleaning, use a soft, slightly damp cloth and dry the surface afterwards.

How should I move decorative accessories?

Lift accessories rather than dragging them across furniture or other surfaces. Larger or heavier pieces should be supported securely when moving or repositioning.

What should I avoid when cleaning accessories?

Avoid standing water, prolonged moisture, harsh or unsuitable chemicals, abrasive pads, metal scourers and sharp cleaning tools. Always consider the primary material and finish before using a cleaning product.

How do I care for metal and aluminium accessories?

Clean metal and aluminium gently with a soft dry or slightly damp cloth and dry immediately afterwards. Avoid abrasive products, harsh chemicals and repeated exposure to moisture because these can affect polished, hammered, brushed, antique, coloured or hand-finished surfaces.

How do I clean mirror and glass accessories?

Use a soft, lint-free cloth. Where required, apply a suitable glass cleaner to the cloth rather than spraying directly onto the surface. This helps prevent liquid from reaching the frame, backing or surrounding materials.

How do I care for natural wood or driftwood accessories?

Dust gently with a soft, dry cloth and avoid excessive moisture, harsh cleaning products and strong direct sunlight. Natural wood and driftwood can vary in grain, colour, texture, knots and naturally occurring markings. Rustic pieces may intentionally retain uneven textures, openings and weathered details.

Why do hand-finished accessories vary from one piece to another?

Hand finishing, natural materials and artisanal production can create subtle differences in colour, texture, shape, surface detail and finish. These variations are part of the intended character of the product and do not mean every piece should appear completely uniform.

Lighting

How do I safely clean a lamp?

Switch off and unplug the lamp before cleaning. Allow bulbs and surrounding fittings to cool completely. Dust with a soft, dry cloth and clean surfaces gently according to their material and finish. Do not allow moisture to enter switches, bulb holders, connections or other electrical components.

What bulb should I use?

Use only the bulb type and maximum wattage specified for the individual light fitting. Always follow the product-specific manufacturer instructions.

Who should install hardwired lighting?

Hardwired lighting and electrical work should be carried out by a suitably qualified electrician.

How should I care for cables and electrical components?

Position cables carefully so they are not pulled, crushed, trapped or creating a trip hazard. Periodically check cables, plugs, fittings and visible connections for signs of damage or wear. Do not use the product if electrical components appear damaged.

How do I clean metal lighting finishes?

Clean polished, brushed, painted, antique or hand-finished metal surfaces gently with a soft dry or slightly damp cloth and dry afterwards. Avoid abrasive cleaners, harsh chemicals and excessive moisture.

How do I clean glass or reflective lamp surfaces?

Use a soft, lint-free cloth. If a suitable glass cleaner is required, apply it to the cloth rather than spraying it directly onto the lamp so liquid does not reach electrical components or surrounding materials.

How do I care for fabric or textile lampshades?

Dust fabric and textile shades regularly with a soft, dry cloth or suitable soft brush. Avoid soaking, rubbing or applying cleaning products unless they are specifically recommended for the material.

Why does natural wood or driftwood lighting vary in appearance?

Natural timber and driftwood can vary in colour, grain, texture, knots, shape and naturally occurring markings. These characteristics form part of the individual appearance of the piece.

My lamp has a European plug. How should I use it in the UK?

Applicable plug-in lamps are supplied with an approved EU-to-UK converter so the original European two-pin plug can be safely connected to a UK socket. Use the supplied converter as intended and do not modify the original plug, converter or electrical components.
